The 1950s were wide open, with a great variety of acoustic guitars available from Sears over the years. Harmony (formerly owned by Sears) and Kay were the main suppliers of the Silvertone branded guitars, and made sure that everyone had a 'go-to' family of instruments.

Flattops, archtops, jumbo-, western-, and parlor-sized, a few classical, some 'cowboy' themed guitars, 'auto-styled' guitars... something to suit everybody's taste, pocketbook and playing ability... ain't that what Silvertone's all about?
