The 600 series guitars are known by several model
numbers,
and share two similar looks, and might fool you. The first ones offered
from 1948 through mid-1956 have a rounded bottom, and the 'peaked' pickguard.
After that, the body shape became noticeably more 'square.' It was (and remains today) one of the most popular Silvertone acoustics,
selling well throughout the life of
this well-loved and much-played guitar, and in today's collectors market.
Page 2 takes you to some unique variations on the 600 series theme over the
years.
