Vintage Sears Christmas Ads from the
1950s, 1960s (and a couple of 70s!)
Those first three pages were all my new finds in 2018. The next several
pages are ads I've collected over the years, and have been online since 2014.
This ad is from the Warsaw Times in Indiana, just three days before
Christmas, 1966. So, that would make
this a 621 they're advertising.
I went waaaay back to 1967 Ohio for this appearance of the
painted-on pickguard
602/1202, a 1482
and a late-era
1477
model, likely a 14773.
The Star News of Wilmington, NC advertised this
604
'with Teaching Record' as part of their holiday bag in 1961.
Heading to the Great White North and the Ottawa Citizen of 1969
for this 1405. Well, it would have
been a 1405 if it'd been sold in the US... up in Ottawa, it'd be the
model 26876.
New England in '67, and we've got the widest and most varied
collection of the bunch: a
602/1202,
a 1451 setup, a
1450 alone and offered with a
1482
(oddly illustrated twice and at two different
prices...
I also find it odd there's no
1452 setup
advertised), a 'paddle head' 1415
and the venerable 1481.
More?
You got it! ====>
