The 1455 was upgraded a bit from its predecessor,
the
1418, receiving an individually adjustable
roller bridge, and an elongated control panel versus
the 1418's triangular one. It lost the 1418's cool rocker switches in favor
of a standard 3-position selector switch, and sported a different headstock and
BIG silkscreened script logo. The immediate successor to the 1455 was the 'Space Dot'
1456 (itself briefly a block logo'd Silvertone),
which was available for a longer time than the 1455.
