The 1418 lived a short life. Only available in the
Fall/Winter 1967 and Spring/Summer 1968 catalog, it didn't get to stick around for
the onslaught in the Fall '68 catalog, replaced by its brother, the
1455.

The 1418 was one of the first guitars to 'hit the
beach' in preparation of the Fall 1968 Japanese Invasion of the electric guitar
portion of the Sears catalog. Based on the Teisco EP-2L, which was itself kinda
ES-335ish, it was the only one in this 'family' to share the EP-2L 'Mt. Fuji'
headstock. It was the predecessor to the much longer-lived (and far more common)
Silvertone 1455 and
1456.
