The 1454 was built by Harmony, and closely
resembles the
H78, save for the H78's double cutaway
(more about that opposite and below). The 1454 held a top-of-the-line position in the Silvertone family, and its price reflected that; as high as
$209.95 at one point, it was one of the priciest Silvertone guitars ever made
available. The successor to the 1429, and the predecessor of the
1485, the
beautiful 1454 was well-made and very attractive, and is still a much sought-after guitar.
