The 1339 amp
was the least expensive amp Sears offered for the few years it
was available.
Valco-made, super basic. I haven't seen many of these, as the scarcity
of pictures here attests to.
Introduced:
Spring/Summer 1952 at $23.95
Retired:
Spring/Summer 1954 at $24.95
It appears that the cabinet was made of a pressed-board type
material, rather than actual wood, as the catalog indicates. This inexpensive
feature would be right in line with
its short-lived career at the very bottom of the Silvertone line, a place soon
to be taken over by the long run of the 1330/1390/1430.
