The 1336 amp
was
top of the line for the first full line of Danelectro designed and built
Silvertone amps. The 1336 was no slouch; twin 12" speakers, tremolo, 50 watts
output, four 6L6G tubes in parallel in a 'push-pull' circuit configuration,
plenty of control over the two channel setup. This amp really was a powerful
sound machine for a relatively low price. Dano showed off their
engineering prowess and marketing savvy with the maximum features
for a Silvertone price.

Spring/Summer 1957 at $149.95 as model KM1336
Now, about this tweed-alligator
thing... certainly an unusual look for an amplifier, and the top 'sound chamber'
certainly made this amp (and this entire line) easily and immediately
recognizable. That logo sure did move around a lot, though... bottom edge, top
corner, bottom, left, right...
