The Silvertone 255
'Artist' was part of a 'titled' line of
Silvertone guitars from Harmony that came on the scene in 1940. Featuring a
carved spruce top with maple back and sides, with a unique to the line
'freehand' logo. Fancy details everywhere: on the
headstock, detailed front binding, a carved spruce top, swank engraved pickguard,
and a honey of a finish. Complete with case, this guitar was only around for the late 1940
catalog.
