The 1465
was most powerful full-featured guitar amp ever offered
in the Dano-built Silvertone line, 150 solid state watts pumping into SIX
ten-inch speakers.
Nice, red-line indicated aluminum inlay knobs just like its little brother the
1464... in fact, if it weren't for 'Solid State 150' screened on the front, you
couldn't tell the two apart just by looking at the front.
Introduced:
1966 at $229.95
as the 57H1465N
Retired:
1968
What, the 1464 ain't good enough for ya? You want MORE power, and
MORE speakers? Well, OK... the 1465 is hear to fit the bill.
ID'ing these amps can be tricky from a distance, as the 1464 and 1465 look
identical from the front. Look for the wattage rating screened on front, and of
course the model number on back.
