Sears offered a range of guitars in
every catalog, and the 615 held the 'middle' position in the line. When it
was retired in 1967, there were two flat tops on the down side price and
feature wise, and two above it.

The 615 was built by Harmony, and introduced in
late 1963. It remained a
popular mid-range guitar throughout its five-year lifespan; by the time it was
retired it was advertised as "our most popular full size birch Flat Top."
Budget features like painted fret markers were coupled with the fancier look and
durability of a floating bridge and tailpiece for a versatile, good looking
guitar.
Still widely available on the auction and secondhand market, this strummer
remains popular.
